What do you know now that you didn’t before coronavirus changed everything?
This pandemic has blown the cover off of so much, from our leadership at all levels, how companies did business and how they will do it moving forward to the disparities between the haves and have nots, the rich and poor, the tech enabled and tech poor, black/brown and white, health disparities, the privileged and unprivileged. Even your relationships are cast in a whole new light.
Everything that has been just under the surface has been exposed, good bad and indifferent. Even what we are seeing in the streets in protest to the recent killings of black people by police has been accelerated by an already traumatized society thanks to the pandemic.
What have you learned thus far? What isn’t what it seemed? Whose integrity came to the surface? Whose lack of integrity angered you? What addictions have you or other’s around you turned to? What might you learn moving forward? This is a long haul and not a sprint. Character and leadership have taken center stage… those with it will shine brightly. Those without it, we will see clearly.
What have you learned about yourself? What will you learn next? And how will you move forward with what you now know to be true?
(P.S. Remember to put self care first!)
