It’s my bookaversary!

It’s hard to believe that Yes Please! 7 Ways to Say I’m Entitled to the C-Suite was officially released one year ago today! It features powerhouses like Andrea Williams , Anne Chow (She/Her) , Dorinda Walker and Kecia Kelly, FACHE amount others.

And launching it was a fantastic ride: partnering with Dr. Jeff Gardere for a virtual launch event and collaboration, multi-city book signings with the likes of Condace Pressley and A’Lelia Bundles and even The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), media appearances, speaking engagements and adding many leaders to my coaching community along the way. Several organizations purchased it in bulk for their leaders and there’s more to come this year!

If this book did anything for me, it was to stretch me and solidify my position as the only Black woman author creating leadership books that merge culture with applied sciences.

It also taught me patience and how to let things go in order to prioritize what matters most to me. It also taught me how much I could take on at once!

One month before launch, I was told by my now editor to hurry and get a proposal to Amistad/HarperCollins/JVL for Call & Response, so this was a pretty hectic, but exciting time. I’d already begun the research for my next title, and God was opening a door.

Thank you to all who’ve supported this book and this journey and discovered my other books when you did. Doing what you are called to do can lead to even bigger things!
