It’s the Quiet Crisis of 2025– DEI Leaders must Reinvent
As a follow up to the article I wrote about the career dilemma that many DEI practitioners and adjacent disciplines are feeling because of the shift in the political landscape…
I’m calling it–this is The Quiet Crisis of 2025. Since I shared the post and the survey that was within, I’ve had conversations with several of these leaders. Some of them are very afraid although they’ve been told all’s well. Some have lost their positions since I posted the article. Others know that it is important work, and feel some amount of guilt for making any moves. Still others considered this their life’s work, and wouldn’t know where to start or if they even want to start in other roles.
Let me share some topline finding from the survey that is still ongoing:
I asked DEI leaders how they feel about their career futures, and the results were eye-opening:
🚨 100% of respondents feel uncertain about their next step.
🚨 66.7% say they need to pivot, but they don’t know how.
🚨 Every single leader wants to know how they can reinvent themselves
…and many of them say, can I do something else and still do the work?
The message is clear: The shifts are happening, and waiting isn’t a strategy.
If you’re a DEI leader wondering what’s next, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to navigate this alone.
🚀 I’m opening a few more spots for my private Leadership Reinvention Strategy Sessions. If you’re ready to take control of your career future, let’s talk. When you do, you will also receive a complimentary toolkit called The Leadership REMIX, which gives DEI leaders the tools to pivot with confidence—featuring a Career Audit, Matching Matrix, and Roadmap to map skills, identify opportunities, and take bold action. 🚀

It’s one thing to talk about it, and I’m glad we did; but it’s quite another to do something about it.
Let’s get started.

P.S. For those who are a little crunched on budget, I offer the bundle as a stand alone. I’ll put the link in the comments.
