The Culture Soup Podcast’s 2025 Debut
The Culture Soup Podcast has been amplifying conversations at the intersection of tech, culture, and business, and now we are entering year seven. Can you believe?
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned after all this time, it’s that change is inevitable—and resilience is the key to thriving.
This Black History Month episode was originally supposed to be backed by a major sponsor, filmed live with one of the country’s top Black AI leaders, and streamed across platforms. But then, plans changed. Executive orders started flying. Contracts and budgets disappeared. And just like that, the entire engagement was scrapped.
Did that stop me?
Absolutely not.
Instead of focusing solely on AI, this episode is about what to do when the unexpected hits—when systems shift, budgets vanish, and leaders are left scrambling. It’s about how to keep showing up, leading, and innovating in the face of uncertainty.
💡 Shoutouts to three incredible women whom I mention in this episode:
Audrey DuBois Harris, the powerhouse soprano whose voice moved the world at Aretha Franklin’s funeral—and who became my first-ever guest on this show.
Valorie Burton, the brilliant mind behind The CaPP Institute, who has been a guiding force in coaching and resilience-building.
A’Lelia Bundles, great-great-granddaughter and biographer of Madame C.J. Walker, author of Joy Goddess
Seven years in, and The Culture Soup Podcast is still adapting, evolving, and breaking barriers.
🎧 Listen now, and let’s talk about resilience, leadership, and how to navigate a world that refuses to stand still.
