Everyday I reflect over how far my practice has come, and the work that I have done as a professional coach.
It is synonymous with the projects I’ve completed in publishing.
As we continue to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the practice, I’d be remiss not to highlight this gem. This is the second project that flies under the radar, but continues to sell and transform lives.
In January 2022, I released the companion journal to No Thanks: 7 Ways to Say I’ll Just Include Myself. The second edition of that book subtitled The Remix had just won the Outstanding Book Award for 2021 and the National Association of Black Journalists annual convention, which was virtual that year.
Slay Everyday:52 Weeks to Rockstar Leadership is the companion journal, and it features topics from my 250 part series of social media videos, the Rockstar Leadership Tip of the Day.
Taking that content and delivering it in a new format was high on my list since launching the first No Thanks book, and the launch was even more special because we also introduced our online leadership collaborative community, SLAYNET, which is still in full swing today. It is home to my book club, which happens each time I release a book, The Circle, my online growth group and membership that tackles leadership challenges with evidence-based tools and group coaching each month, and it’s where I share, exclusive content and invitations with the community. And there is so much more:
SOAR Women’s Leadership Academy’s asynchronous curriculum and community also lives there as well as an archive of all 250 Rockstar Leadership Tip videos. It’s where free challenges like Peace & Productivity live as well as Confidence Boosters and other online courses.
Some of you have discovered this journal after reading Yes Please! Or even when you’ve picked up my daughter’s book, No Thanks for Gorls: 7 Ways to Say I’m Beautiful, Strong & Enough. Either way you discover it, you will be blessed by it.
It is available on Amazon. Join SLAYNET if you’re a like-minded leader interested in seeing women and women of color soar in their lives and leadership.
