Elevate Your Leadership: A Peer Group for Black Women in Tech
Black women in tech are innovators—pushing boundaries, creating solutions, and shaping the future. Yet, many navigate this journey feeling isolated, unsupported, and burdened by systemic biases that make reaching leadership roles in the E- and C-Suites a steeper climb.
The demand for a space to connect, strategize, and grow together has never been clearer. The results are still coming in but, a survey that I’m conducting reveals that Black women in tech overwhelmingly believe a peer group like this is both timely and necessary.
They’re expressing a desire for
- Strategies to overcome leadership barriers and achieve their executive ambitions.
- A community to combat feelings of isolation and workplace biases.
Yet many haven’t joined a group like this because they didn’t think one existed, didn’t have time to start one, or didn’t know how to find others navigating similar challenges.
Why Community Matters
Science confirms what we already know—strong connections are the foundation of success. Research in positive psychology reveals that supportive communities enhance resilience, reduce stress, and empower individuals to overcome challenges (Frontiers in Psychology). For Black women in tech, community isn’t just valuable—it’s transformative. It is the cheat code, and no one does community better.
That’s why I’m launching Mid-Career Black Women in Tech: Elevating the Next Executive Leaders within Forum.
This group is more than a network—it’s your opportunity to grow alongside peers who truly understand your experiences and share your aspirations. Together, we’ll break through systemic barriers, develop actionable strategies, and build meaningful relationships that propel us forward.
